Lara Lawman

Lara is an award winning Southwest-based director, movement director, writer and theatre maker. Her practice as a director centres on interdisciplinary, visually explosive work that gives audiences space to emotionally connect with the power of live performance. She is interested in exploring our behaviours - individually and collectively - through humour or heartbreak. Lara’s work spans new writing, devised work, classical texts and musical theatre. Her collaborative and responsive approach is shaped by a PGCE in Drama, years of teaching experience, and a BA in Liberal Arts from the University of Exeter.​​
